HOW TO USE THE FROSTING POWDER

 Frosting powder is a kind of fluoride, which is in the form of white powder. When using, add hydrochloric acid or tap water to prepare a frosting liquid. Glass products are placed in this frosting liquid and are generated by the reaction between frosting powder and acid. Hydrofluoric acid erodes glass products to achieve a frosting effect.
1. Prepare frosting liquid:
Prepare YK-0105 fingerprint-free frosting liquid more than 24 hours in advance
Acid ratio (weight) YK-0105 frosting powder: hydrochloric acid = 1:0.50. Hydrochloric acid concentration ≥31%
First, place YK-0105 frosting powder in a covered plastic container and slowly add hydrochloric acid while stirring. Stir evenly and cover it. It can be used after aging for more than 24 hours and the temperature and consistency return to normal.
Appropriately extending the frosting curing reaction time will help reduce costs and increase productivity.
2. Clean the glass:
If the glass surface is unclean, the surface needs to be treated.
Cleaning solution preparation: 8% hydrofluoric acid, 5% sulfuric acid, 87% tap water. Slowly add sulfuric acid to the tap water, then add hydrofluoric acid.
Immerse the glass directly into the above cleaning solution for 30-60 seconds.
After taking it out, let it drip for 20-60 seconds, wash it with tap water, and then frost it directly.
Note: Bringing too much cleaning fluid or small liquid into the frosting pool will affect the efficacy of the frosting fluid and should be avoided as much as possible.
3. Frosting operation:
Flat glass frosting is divided into single-sided frosting and double-sided frosting.
1. Single side frosting
Protect the side of the glass that does not require frosting with adhesive tape.
After cleaning, place the glass into the frosting device with the frosted side facing up.
Apply frosting liquid quickly and evenly to the glass surface for 1-2 minutes (at normal room temperature).
During the rapid sand pouring process, the flow should be uniform from left to right, up and down, to avoid excessive or small flow.
2. Double-sided frosting
Directly immerse the cleaned flat glass into the frosting pool for 60-90 seconds, take out the glass and let it drip for 20-40 seconds, then clean it with clean water.
4. Things to note:
At the beginning, the effectiveness of the frosting liquid is weak, so the frosting time should be shortened.
When frosting, constant stirring or air bubbling is required to ensure that the frosting is uniform up and down.
Shake the glass appropriately to make the frosting even on the surface.
If the frosting liquid splashes into your eyes, please wash them with water immediately.
